Allison was born in Surrey, England. Her mother and father came from California, America and Kilmacolm, Scotland respectively. Throughout her life she has enjoyed visiting her friends and family in both locations. She recently graduated from Durham University with a Masters in Civil Engineering and now works for a consultancy company in the change management practice for Energy, Natural Resources and Utilities.
She loves sailing on large Yachts (despite her sea sickness) and is looking forward to achieving her Day Skipper's qualification next year if there is time!
Joshua was born in Surrey, England. His mother and father moved down south from Birmingham and Leeds respectively. He recently graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc in Computing Science and is now working at a small (30 people and two dogs) e-commerce company that works with a number of major brands.
His passions include photography and programming (both demonstrated on this website). He has also enjoyed acquiring a number of practical skills from both his and Allison's families.

Ramster Hall is a fourth generation family home that lies in the Surrey Hills between Chiddingfold and Haslemere. Surrounded by stunning Surrey parkland and over 25 acres of gardens, it is both historic and beautiful. The oldest part of the house dates from the early 17th century. It was built by a wealthy glass maker; Chiddingfold then being the centre of the glass making industry in England.
More information can be found on their website.
It is not compulsory for all ladies to don a hat, but for those who do we thought we would revive this little tradition for a bit of fun.
While shopping in The Mad Hatter, the lady serving enlightened us about wedding hat etiquette that we thought we would pass along.
1) All hats should be removed no later than 6pm.
2) The mother of the bride dictates when other ladies may remove their hats and fascinators. Until she removes her hat, other ladies are expected to leave theirs on.
(This gives my mother an immense sense of power!)

Daisy Allen - Wedding dress
Daisy worked on Allison's mother's wedding dress for the big day. Not only did she alter it, she completely redesigned the top half with the existing material. This means painstakingly unpicked all of the panels and altered them separately as well as adding several new pieces and lots of beading. She did an amazing job and I think that everyone can agree that it looked stunning.
Daisy is one of Allison's oldest friends and it means so much to her that she agreed to take on such a big task.
UPDATE: Daisy has been working on her own line of fabulous hand-made clutch bags which have detachable tassels. Click here to find out more!
